About Our Shelter...
Special Forces for Jesus Outreach Ministries serves the city of Birmingham and all its surrounding counties. We have 3 homes that shelter, feed, and clothe homeless men, women, and children as well as to offer guidance to aid them with the transition back into society with responsible living.
Residents at Golden Corral for Dinner
Assisting the residents with behavior, improve self-esteem and restored self-respect is delightful. We also assist the mentally challenged and elderly/disabled with the long-term stay.
We can house up to 30 residents (men, women, and children) a safe haven and prepare those who are able with life skills to become computer literate, interview skills, goal setting techniques, personal development and job ready as well as the exercise program, daily meditation and biblical studies. We have a volunteer psychologist onsite daily who offer personal and family counseling as well as a biblical 12 step program, anger and stress management.

Young Forever:
An exercise program with subgroups of differing physical abilities. The groups range from dance classes to singing to an outdoor walking program, using a 1/2 mile track at our local recreation center and gentle stretching routines for arthritis sufferers.
Our Residents
Games for Brains:
A program of games for varied interests and abilities encompassing computer games, trivia and puzzles to chess, checkers, and other board games. Several reading groups are included in this program as well as the Brain Olympics program delivered by faculty and volunteers.
Meals for Life:
Serving a hot breakfast, nutritional lunch and hot dinner that follow federal standards for age appropriate nutrition.

A series of lectures and presentations by experts in longevity and aging.
